Joy

Joy comes to every household
Sorrow comes to every home
Some seem to have more than
Their share of either one
Sometimes joy can best be found
In quiet retrospect
And lessons only learned
In the fallout
In reflection we see how some storms
Have come upon us
Also, how we by our own
Decisions have chosen to stand outside
And shout at the storm
To make it stop
Instead of seeking shelter
In the safety of His arms
and waiting for the sun to shine again
Joy is a decision- Sorrow is an emotion
That will come and go
Joy lives under the surface of emotions
It flows as a river of peace
Under the elements of
Wind, rain, snow and hot sunshine
It is alive in the heartbeat of every believer
Joy is the Blood of the Lamb
Coursing through our veins
Joy is sane in the midst of insanity
Joy makes no sense to natural eyes
It believes the unbelievable
It is calm in the midst of Chaos
Joy, it is sweet rest in the arms of Jesus
